Parent Assist
PreCanSkate
Parent Assist PreCanSkate is for skaters ages 2-5. This class that allows the skater to go on the ice with a parent/guardian who also have skates on and is able to skate well enough to assist the young skater. There is an instructor who will work with the class. This class shares the ice with the PreCanSkate/CanSkate class.

PreCanSkate/
CanSkate
PreCanSkate is a group on the ice for skaters ages 3-5 and who are new to skating. CanSkate is for skaters ages 3-12. Coaches will group the skaters based on their ages and skating levels. Skaters are taught in a group setting by Coaches and Program Assistants (figure skater helpers)

Pre-Power/Power
Pre-Power is geared towards young skaters age 4-7 interested in hockey or ringette. Power is for skaters ages 6+ who have already completed Pre-Power or level 3 CanSkate. Both programs skating abilities in a power skating-specific environment, including balance skills, forward and backward skating, stopping, turning and agility skills. Skaters must wear full equipment (including sticks).

Jr Prep/Star Skate
Junior Prep is a group program that teaches introductory figure skating skills to young skaters who show potential to excel in competitive figure skating.
StarSkate is the first step into figure skating once a skater has completed CanSkate. Skate Regina coaches work collaboratively so skaters do not need to choose an individual coach as one will be assigned.

This is an easy, virtual fundraiser since you can simply email your friends and families asking them to order and their order can either be delivered to them (for a fee) or directly to Skate Regina (free of charge). Orders open untnil May 16th.

Funding Assistance
Individual Child grants help families in financial need cover the costs of sports and recreation.
Need some extra support with registration fees? Jumpstart and Kidport can help with covering a portion of your registration fees. Click the links below for more information on how you can apply. Contact Skate Regina if you are applying for funding. We will help make the registration for you and apply the funding when it is received. Families will need to pay for any remaining amount not covered by the funding.
Special Olympics/Adaptive Skating
Skate Canada is committed to providing training and athletic competitions for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Liaising regularly with Special Olympics Canada as well as other sport organizations for athletes with a disability, Skate Canada provides updates and support to member clubs regarding strategies on how to integrate Special Olympians and other special needs skaters into regular club programming.

Skate Regina is a non-profit volunteer association dedicated to providing the community and surrounding area with quality skating instruction. We provide learn to skate programs for skaters ages 2-5 (Parent Assist), ages 3-12 (PreCanSkate/CanSkate), and skaters ages 12+ (Adult/Teen group); Pre-Power and Power skating for our hockey players; Adaptive skating in our Special Olympic ice and additional helpers when available on our PreCanSkate/CanSkate sessions; and Figure skating in our Jr Prep (beginning figure skating) and Star Skate sessions through group programming and private private/semi-private lessons. Skate Regina is an affiliated member of Skate Canada. On August 2, 1978, the Regina Figure Skating Club was officially formed by the amalgamation of the Wascana Figure Skating Club and the Prairie Figure Skating Club. At the 2003 Annual General Meeting, members voted in favour of changing the club’s name from Regina Figure Skating Club to Skate Regina.
